Plans and Specifications
Superior provides written specifications and plan sets within a variety of disciplines for clients including federal, state, and local governments, municipalities, and private commercial and industrial clients working in the petroleum, telecommunications, manufacturing, transportation and distribution, retail, and general construction industries. Superior has experience in a variety of contracting and engineering roles for traditional design-bid-build contracts, expedited delivery, and hybrid contract types. Examples include the owner’s representative, engineer, professional services contractor, and general contractor roles and responsibilities.
Plans and specifications are most commonly prepared in accordance with the Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) MasterFormat™ standards including sections for contracting and general requirements, site work, and detailed discipline specific specifications for Division 3 and higher tasks, though custom client specific formats have also been accommodated. Superior has a full service computer aided design (CAD) and graphical information systems (GIS) department to prepare all necessary construction plans, details, and drawings in a variety of formats. All plans and specifications undergo a thorough engineering review and revision process and can be sealed by a licensed professional engineer when needed.
