Superior provides permitting services for a variety of media types including air, groundwater, storm water, and surface water through environmental regulations promulgated at the federal, state, and local government levels. Example permit types include, the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits for industrial or commercial process water or mixed process & storm water discharged to “waters of the State”, storm water only discharges at industrial and commercial facilities, discharges into aquifer media for in-situ remediation sites, and air permit-to-install permits required for atmospheric discharges at a variety of environmental cleanup sites.
Superior has experience obtaining, and maintaining these environmental permits in many States within the EPA Region 5 area, including, but not limited to, Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio. Many of these regulations are federally promulgated, but are implemented at the state level through primacy. Superior, has on-staff certified operators for NPDES required roles ranging from storm water inspection and management to industrial waste water operations, and experienced staff for air permit roles including new permit applications and renewals, compliance reviews, discharge stack monitoring and sampling, and annual emissions reporting to state & federal agencies.
