Storage Tank Removal

Storage Tank Removal

As a qualified underground storage tank consultant, Superior has been involved in the removal of thousands of regulated and non-regulated underground storage tanks since the company’s inception. Typically, this can include conducting tank removal oversight activities, screening excavation soils for signs of contamination, collecting excavation verification samples, determining whether or not to file a release, coordinating contaminated soil removal activities, assisting with release reporting requirements, preparation of regulatory reports, and interfacing with the client and the regulatory agency to insure that the project progresses in a timely and cost effective manner.

In the event a release is reported, Superior has experience working with insurance companies and/or state reimbursement programs where eligible.

Decommissioning & Demolition

Decommissioning and Demolition

Superior’s field staff has overseen the demolition of various structures and facilities as part of our project experience. This ranges from Underground Storage Tank removal projects to the entire removal of groundwater remediation systems at completion of a project. Superior networks with demolition specific contractors as needed.

Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control

Wetlands Remediation

In preparation for your upcoming project, it is important to secure all applicable permits and utilize best management practices when executing work.

A soil erosion and construction storm water permit is generally required for any earth change activity which disturbs one or more acres of land or which is within 500 feet of a lake or stream.

Before you start your next construction project, please contact Superior at (877) 667-4142 to see how our trained staff can assist you with:

  • Reviewing and/or designing Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control Plans.
  • Performing weekly site inspections.
  • Making final decisions regarding Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control Permit issuance or denial.
  • Assisting with determinations for noncompliance with Part 91.
  • Developing plans and providing updates.
  • Reviewing and/or designing Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control Measures.
  • Making design determinations for Soil Erosion and Sedimentation Control Measures (e.g. sediment basins, diversions, riprap sizing, etc.).
